The Faculty of Pharmacy of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) is located in the Plaza de Ramón y Cajal in the University City, opposite the Faculty of Dentistry and next to the faculties of Medicine and Nursing, Physiotherapy and Podiatry. These four centers are located in the central area of the Moncloa campus and combine most of the Health Sciences degrees taught at the UCM. Their patron saint’s day is December 8, the Immaculate Conception.
The Faculty of Pharmacy is made up of two buildings:
- Professor Don Antonio Doadrio López Building (original).
- Extension Building or Lecture Hall (opened in 2006).
It is currently one of the largest pharmacy faculties in Spain and in Europe by number of students. According to the 2014 newspaper ranking, the best-regarded center for studying pharmacy in all of Spain is the Faculty of Pharmacy of the UCM.
